Yuki Kuramochi (倉持 有希 Kuramochi Yuki), born Yuki Isoya (磯谷有希 Isoya Yuki;February 17, 1972 in Hakodate, Hokkaido), known exclusively by her stage name Yuki, is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter. She is best known as the lead vocalist for Judy and Mary, which she founded in 1991 before becoming a solo artist in 2002. She has also been a member of the bands NiNa (1999) and [wikipedia:Mean Machine (band)|Mean Machine]] (2001).
Yuki performed the opening songs, "Dramatic" and "Fugainaiya", for the Honey and Clover anime.
Biography[]
Yuki was born Yuki Isoya in Hakodate, Hokkaido on February 17, 1972. After graduating from Hakodate Otani College, she worked as a beautician. She met Yoshihito Onda who visited Hakodate to make a movie, The Triple Cross. The meeting triggered the formation of Judy and Mary in 1992. After Judy and Mary disbanded, Yuki made her solo debut in 2002.
Personal life[]
She married Magokoro Brothers frontman Yoichi Kuramochi in September 2000, and gave birth to her first child, a boy, on April 18, 2003. However, the child died from unknown causes (SIDS) on March 17, 2005.[citation needed] She gave birth to a second child on August 29, 2006, and a third child in June 2009.
